Parade History

History

The small parade back in 1999 run by a handful of volunteers with the support of a few local businesses and floats crawling up Keele St. to the Maple Community Centre with sporadic crowds, has become one of the premier events on the city’s calendar, stretching from Canada’s Wonderland to Vaughan City Hall, with hundreds of participants on scores of floats, in front of thousands of spectators. In 2015, SantaFest introduced Spirit of the Season, with multicultural floats showcasing traditional sounds and sights -all parading down International Way along the parade route.

Our Mission

SantaFest exists to promote community spirit, civic pride and to bring cheer to every spectator, participant, sponsor and organizer. Our mission is to provide families and individuals an event that will build lasting holiday memories while celebrating the Spirit of the Season.

Support

SantaFest would not be possible without the participation, involvement, commitment and support of our sponsors, the many volunteers, merchants, participants and the City of Vaughan.
